Easter Basket and Butterfly Card

I have made a butterfly card for a good friend of mine and an Easter basket to practice with svgcuts newest files!

The basket was made exactly as the pdf describes. I like to make files in their original form and then see where I can go from there. (Kind of like learning the basics before expanding the creativity!) Oh how I wish I had more time in my craft room!

This card was made with simple shapes from SCAL2 I made a rectangle, added a circle. Then I cut the Butterfly and the caption. These are both wondeful files from svgcuts , my favorite spot for free files! Not all of their files are free but every week they offer at least 1 free file and one brand new file to purchase!

Cards for little ones

I made two new cards from the waterfall collection. The first is a baby card to welcome a sweet bundle of joy due next month. :)  The second is a RAWR card for my Nephew, He turns 3 next month and loves dinosaurs....he calls them RAWRS...lol. Hope he likes it. :)

Pull on the ribbon and the letters cascade revealing each letter of BABY.

The dinosar card is super cute and you pull on his tail and his mouth opens, hope my nephew loves it! I think I'm going to add the words RARR or something like that down the side. The kit comes with soem cute leaves but I want words so I'm still working on them :)

This SVG kit can be found on SVG cuts website: waterfall cards

Babyshower Cake

I made this baby shower cake for my Cousin. This is all colored fondant, except for the cake topper (which is chocolate)

Close up :)
This cake topper is molded white chcolate. I used the chocolate cup mold and made 2 of them, then I sliced one in half and "glued" it to the bottom with more chocolate. The baby and bow are all made with fondant.

The buttons were inspired by SVG cuts, they had a freebie of a button at the same time I was making this cake. :) Go to their site and click on blog at the top. There are a ton of freebie SCAL files, enjoy! Inspiration doesn't have to stop on paper... :)
